Parent Lighthouse
Valley Life Charter values parental involvement. Families are encouraged to volunteer 40 hours per year. This can happen in many ways. The Parent Lighthouse is a great way to get involved and meet other families. Parent Lighthouse meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:45 PM (Location to be determined). Child care is provided!
Parent Volunteer training is held on the first Friday of the month - Akers Campus - at 8:30 AM and just before the Parent Lighthouse meeting at 5:15 PM.

Events organized by our Parent Lighthouse include Carnival, Tricky Tray, Teacher Appreciation Week, and Play Day. Money raised by the Parent Lighthouse helps our students take amazing field trips each year!
Parents can volunteer to help with ongoing committees such as - concessions, restaurants, working in the classroom, taking students to visual and performing arts - performances in the area, reading at home, and many more
**If any parent has any special skills or trades that they would like to use for the benefit of the school, this is also a great way to volunteer.
